• We solve your most difficult CNC milling/turning part challenges

  • Extensive in-house milling, turning and fabricating capabilities

  • Swiss CNC, CNC turning, CNC milling/machining

Overview

CEI excels at producing complex milled and  machined components for a variety of industries. We are a full service provider, from product development, in-house programming, tooling and fixturing to support production, quality control and delivery. Our impressive capabilities allow us to engineer programs that are faster, less expensive, and better controlled when compared to alternative approaches. Parts we produce are used in an extensive range of applications.

Capabilities

All milling, turning, fabricating and many secondary operations are handled under our roof. We operate and maintain vertical machining centers, precision drilling centers, CNC lathe and turning centers. We handle medium runs and excel at high volume jobs.

  • CNC Milling – Full 3-axis milling centers (some with 4-axis capabilities). We can easily manage high volume production with our integrated pallet systems.
  • CNC Turning – We produce smaller components with integrated secondary operations using our CNC turning centers and Swiss style CNC automatic lathes. Features include  integrated bar feeding systems for enhanced speed. We support material of up to 2.5 inches in diameter and can handle off-axis machining operations.
  • Dimensions and Materials – Typical materials include stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, and various alloys. We can mill pieces up to 18 x 36 x 16 inch pieces, and turn components from .0625 inches to 7.0 inches in diameter.

Industries and Applications

We mill and turn custom precision components that are used in a wide variety of products, subassemblies, systems and equipment. Industries include medical, aerospace, defense, industrial, and consumer. Typical applications include but are not limited to surgical instruments, medical equipment, military weapon systems, circuit breakers, jet engine components and much more.

What is CNC Milling and Turning?

CNC milling and CNC turning create precision metal components by removing material from a solid piece of stock. Milling is a 2D and 3D vertical machining process where block stock is held stationary and tools on up to 4 axes cut away material to achieve the desired shape, dimensions and detail. In turning, cylindrical bar or tube stock spins horizontally on a single point while the cutting tools move back and forth along the bar producing cuts of precise depth and diameter.
